Our Mission is to provide recreational opportunities, acquire and maintain sites that enhance our quality of life, and preserve the natural, recreational, cultural and historical resources of the district.

 

The Point Roberts Park and Recreation District oversees the Community Center, which hosts community programs and meetings for local social and civic groups and charities, and Baker Field, with over 60 acres with over 2 miles of hiking trails, a skate park, the playing field for baseball, football and soccer and a playground.

The Community Center houses the senior center which holds lunches on Wednesday and Friday, as well as housing the Historical Center which presents the local history of Point Roberts. The local library and a playground are also located on the Community Center grounds. During times of emergency the building becomes a shelter.

Kids Camp Cancellation. After consulting with our counselors and looking at the current Covid outbreak in Point Roberts it saddens us that we need to cancel the remainder of kids camp. All of our counselors had gone in for additional Covid testing which came out negative; however, due to the incubation time for Covid and after consulting with our counselors we feel that it is prudent to stop the current camp for the safety of our campers.
