Tenants’ Rights – Free Zoom Session April 26th at 7 pm

Richard Dennis and Holly Robinson presented a free, one-hour Zoom session on tenant’s rights. The discussion will cover the eviction moratorium and other rights available during the COVID pandemic, and what happens when the moratorium expires. It will also go over changes to tenant law passed by the Washington State legislature in 2020. This is the third session of the Point Roberts Park District legal information series. This session, by Richard Dennis, and Holly Robinson, provided a summary of important laws and regulations about credit reporting and credit scores, and how they can impact you and your use of credit. Be a smart consumer and know your rights.

According to the New York Times, “In 2020, consumers filed more than 280,000 complaints about credit reporting issues concerning mistakes such as incorrect personal information or miscalculated debts. That’s more than double the number of credit-reporting complaints from 2019.”
